InDesign Fundamentals - 8:00-11:30 AM Workshop
This fan-favorite course includes tips and best practices for creating and using styles in proposals. The ideal participant typically uses the software daily and is ready to become more efficient and consistent with their work.
Topics Include:
- Basic InDesign Refresh: discover what you need to know from indesign basics to execute the tools you use most.
- *NEW* Leverage AI: Learn the built-in artificial intelligence components and how to maximize them for Aec projects.
- Paragraph Styles: Set up and organize basic paragraph styles, avoiding overrides and confusion.
- Character Styles: Set up character styles, learning what not to do to confuse your paragraph styles.
- Object Styles: Learn to set up text frames and graphic frames for a cleaner and more consistent layout.
- Tips and Tricks: organize your styles to make sense, keeping you and your team rocking along... in style!
Level Up: InDesign Intermediate - 1:00-4:30 PM Workshop
You’ve graduated from the basics and are yearning for some new horizons. This course caters to capable InDesign users interested in boosting their efficiency and adding a little automation to their lives.
Topics Include:
- Basic InDesign Refresh: discover what you need to know from indesign basics to execute the tools you use most.
- *NEW* Leverage AI: Learn the built-in artificial intelligence components and how to maximize them for Aec projects.
- Efficient Ways to Create Project Sheets, Resumes, Schedules, and Organizational Charts with Paragraph, Character, and Object Styles (with New Features): This is automation explained. instead of clearing your entire day to work on any of these items, Julie shows you how to move quickly through each task.
- Table and Cell Styles: Learn to set up tables and insert them into a document.
- Nested Styles: Learn how to set up nested styles and format text with built-in character styles.
- GREP Styles: Understand basic grep expressions and automatically style text and/ or find repetitive content to save time and give your document that “wow” factor!
